Community Engagement Worker
Based in the office at Butetown, Cardiff and outreach with some remote working possible.
Hours: Part-time, flexible 20 hours per week spread over at least 3 days.
Fixed term to 31/12/25 with possibility of extension subject to funding.
Salary: £12.60 per hour. (£13,104pa)
We are looking for a Community Engagement Worker to recruit, train and support volunteers, enabling them to participate in collecting, collating, organising and digitising source materials, leading to showcasing and promoting our work. The post will work with partner organisations such as universities and media organisations, who will bring opportunities and training for the volunteers recruited.
The successful candidate will share our commitment to equality and inclusion, is well organised, able to work with minimal supervision and has a creative, collaborative approach. They will demonstrate understanding of diverse communities, cultures and heritage and have experience of organising or proactive participation in community-based activities (e.g. voluntary groups, faith groups, neighbourhood, schools, clubs etc).
